Don’t judge me from above,
The years you have on me are meaningless,
You’ve no idea where I’ve been,
No idea what I’ve done
And no idea who I’ve been,
My old friends wouldn’t even recognise me,
My family have disowned me,
I am a sleepwalking pariah,
And as the years fly by,
I move further away from that person I thought I was,
And have had to meet and greet this new one,
Just because you say you are perfect, does not mean you are,
At least I’m fully aware of my darkness,
You lay your lighter touch on me,
And I feel nothing.
